Hello and welcome to a real year in school (fingers crossed). I'd rather wear a mask at school than have to teach over zoom! I hope you feel the same way. I'm sure some of you are a little nervous, just like me! It's been a while since I've had a whole classroom of 30-35 students. I will do my best to make sure you are all learning and feel comfortable in my classroom. Here is a copy of the letter that went home the first day of school.
The tabs above have everything you will need for my class. I will not be using Google Classroom a lot. It will be used mostly for assessments and online assignments not from Big Ideas Math online (BIM).
A little about me is that I've been married for 29 years to my husband. We have three wonderful kids who at this time are in three different states and I miss having them around all the time. My youngest, Vincent, goes to Boise State University in Idaho - Go Broncos!!!! This will be his last year there and will come home in May - yay! My daughter, Brooklyn, is married to a Marine and lives in North Carolina. She will graduate nursing school in December and we will all go to see her graduation and then stay for Christmas. My oldest son, Joseph, decided to try living in Colorado during Covid and decided he liked it there so we helped move all his stuff there this past summer. He works for Google and all his meetings are still virtual. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, spending relaxing time with my husband, but mostly visiting my children when I am able.
Please email me at any time with questions or concerns at the addresses above.
